KLIK SAJA – The European club football season reaches its climax as Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Inter Milan face off in the Champions League final in Munich on Saturday night.

Over the past decade, PSG have often been labeled as “nearly champions” in this competition, but they now aim to finally secure their first-ever Champions League title.

On the other side, Inter arrive as seasoned contenders hoping to add a fourth UCL trophy to their storied cabinet at the Allianz Arena.

This showdown stands out as one of the most exciting finals in recent years, mainly because it’s difficult to predict which playing style will prevail in Bavaria.

Both teams are deserving finalists, though they reached this stage through very different paths.

PSG impressed with their fluid, attacking football, while Inter relied on tactical intelligence and unity, eliminating heavyweights like Bayern Munich and Barcelona along the way.

PSG are targeting a historic treble and aiming to become the first French club to achieve that feat.

Inter, who were also in contention for a treble just a month ago, are now fighting to avoid finishing the season trophyless.

Back in November, PSG were on the verge of missing the knockout stage altogether, and coach Luis Enrique’s position appeared under threat.

However, PSG’s transformation in 2025 has been nothing short of remarkable. Since the start of the year, they’ve arguably been Europe’s most dominant team.

They breezed through Ligue 1, triumphed over Reims in the Coupe de France final, and now stand one win away from a perfect season, one that their Qatari owners have waited 14 years to witness.

Along the way, they defeated Liverpool and Arsenal on the road, and showed great resilience to fend off Aston Villa in the quarter-finals.

French football has long awaited continental success — Marseille remains the only French club to have won the Champions League, also in Munich and against a Milan-based club (AC Milan in 1993).

Another interesting statistic: in the four previous Champions League finals held in Munich, there has always been a first-time winner — Nottingham Forest, Marseille, Borussia Dortmund, and Chelsea. PSG are looking to add their name to that exclusive list.
