KLIK SAJA - Dozens of Palestinians have reportedly been killed while attempting to access humanitarian aid in Gaza, according to two hospitals in Gaza City.

Both hospitals confirmed that 25 people lost their lives overnight near a flour convoy and a food distribution point operated by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), an aid organization backed by the United States and Israel, located within the Netzarim corridor—an Israeli military-controlled zone.

Gaza’s Civil Defence, run by Hamas, claimed that Israeli forces opened fire on the crowd. Other reports indicate that some victims were trampled by aid trucks or even shot by fellow Palestinians amid the chaos.

The Israeli military stated that its troops only fired warning shots toward individuals approaching them who were deemed suspicious.

In a separate incident, a hospital in Khan Younis reported that 14 more people were killed by Israeli gunfire near a GHF site in Rafah, in southern Gaza.

The Israeli military has said it is investigating the Rafah reports.

GHF claimed that over 43,000 food packages were successfully distributed on Wednesday at its three aid centers in Rafah and central Gaza “without incident.”

However, nearly every day since the GHF's controversial aid system began operating on May 26, deadly incidents have occurred near its distribution sites.

The Hamas-run Ministry of Health in Gaza stated that in the past two weeks, 223 people have been killed while trying to reach aid zones—57 of them on Wednesday alone.

On Wednesday afternoon, Israeli anti-war activist Alon Lee-Green shared a video showing scenes of utter chaos as hundreds of young Palestinian men sprinted from all directions into a GHF distribution center, scrambling for food boxes.

Many were seen climbing over dirt mounds and metal fences, with no visible signs of order or control.

Earlier that day, officials from al-Shifa and al-Quds hospitals confirmed that at least 25 people were shot dead by Israeli forces near GHF’s Wadi Gaza site in the Netzarim corridor.

Dr. Moataz Harara, head of the emergency department at al-Shifa Hospital, said the facility received approximately 200 injured individuals simultaneously—many with gunshot wounds and shrapnel injuries to the abdomen and pelvis.

Mahmoud Bassal, spokesperson for the Civil Defence, told AFP that the casualties resulted from “Israeli tank and drone fire on thousands of civilians.”
