KLIK SAJA – The tension between Israel and Palestine has long felt like an endless conflict with no sign of peace in sight.
Almost daily, the world is confronted with news of Israeli attacks on Gaza and the West Bank.
Although these assaults are often justified as targeting resistance groups like Hamas, the reality on the ground paints a different picture: the majority of victims are innocent civilians, including women and children.
The international community—including the United Nations—has repeatedly condemned Israel’s actions, labeling them as acts of genocide and ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people.
Despite this, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) remain committed to their aggressive policies.
So, the question remains: Why is Israel so adamant about expelling Palestinians from their homeland?
Here are four key reasons behind this persistent aggression:
1. The Core Agenda of Zionism
Since the establishment of the Israeli state in 1948, the central aim of the Zionist movement has been to build a Jewish nation on land they claim as their ancestral heritage.
Backed by British political support through the Balfour Declaration in 1917, thousands of Palestinians were forcibly displaced from their homes.
This mass displacement, known as the Nakba (the catastrophe), marked the beginning of the Palestinian people’s ongoing struggle and suffering.
2. The "Promised Land" Narrative
According to Jewish scriptures, God promised the land stretching from the Nile to the Euphrates to the Israelites.
This belief has been used by extremist Zionists as a religious justification for taking over Palestinian territory.
However, historically, this land has been home to various civilizations—including the Persians, Romans, and Islamic Caliphates—and has long been known as Palestine.
3. Racial Hatred and Supremacist Ideology
Extreme Zionism is often fueled by a deep-rooted racism toward Palestinians, whether Muslim or Christian.
