Tensions between Iran and Israel have escalated once again following the discovery of a covert drone manufacturing workshop allegedly run by Israeli intelligence agency Mossad.

According to state media reports on Monday morning, the facility was uncovered in a dramatic raid conducted by Iranian security forces in the city of Rey, within Tehran Province.

The workshop, located in a three-story building south of the Iranian capital, housed a range of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) components and explosive materials.

Footage broadcast on state television revealed rooms packed with advanced equipment and sensitive materials believed to be used for assembling mini kamikaze drones—precisely the kind employed in Israel’s recent covert strikes on Iran’s strategic sites.

For Tehran, the discovery is deeply alarming. It highlights the very real threat posed by small, radar-evading drones used in surgical attacks—many of which have already caused significant damage to Iranian infrastructure.

Iranian authorities acknowledged the possibility that similar clandestine workshops may be operating in other parts of the country, prompting the launch of a nationwide crackdown.

More than just a tactical find, this revelation offers stark evidence of Mossad’s entrenched presence within Iran’s borders.

It underscores the increasingly aggressive and sophisticated nature of Israel’s strategy to undermine its adversary from within.

This incident comes only days after Israeli airstrikes targeted Iran’s missile and nuclear facilities, killing a senior military commander and a top nuclear scientist.

In retaliation, Iran launched ballistic missiles at Israeli positions, further igniting fears that the region is teetering on the brink of all-out war.

The broader narrative paints a troubling picture of the Netanyahu administration’s current approach—a full-spectrum military and intelligence campaign aimed at crippling Iran’s capabilities.

Despite repeated warnings and condemnations from the international community, including the United Nations, Israel continues its operations under the banner of national defense.

Netanyahu’s ambitions appear to extend beyond merely halting Iran’s nuclear program. His government seems determined to dismantle Iran’s military infrastructure through sabotage, targeted assassinations, and cyber-warfare—tools emblematic of Israel’s shadow war playbook.

The international community still remembers a similar operation, when Israel allegedly smuggled explosive-laden pagers into Lebanon, hoping to detonate them when used by Hezbollah operatives.
